Production Movements allow the recording of the transformation of items or ingredients in stock into production items, based on their Recipes, reflecting the stock updates for the various participants in the production process.

By revisiting the concepts of item classifications, users can configure items in StoresAce as production or production/sales to include in these movements.

### Production Items

These are items produced in-store that rely on a recipe and a production order. **They do not generate sales or purchase movements but generate stock at the moment of production** and are stored in a warehouse. These items create stock for themselves upon finalizing a production order and automatically adjust the stock levels of the ingredients listed in their recipes. They need to be included in the recipes of sales items to be made available for sale.

### Production/Sales Items

These are items produced in-store that depend on a recipe and a production order. **These items are represented in the POS and generate sales movements**. They generate stock at the moment of production and are stored in a warehouse. They create stock for themselves upon finalizing a production order and automatically adjust the stock levels of the ingredients listed in their recipe. Once production is complete, these items can be sold without being associated with a sales item by including them in a technical sheet.

By accessing Movements > Stock > Production, in the main menu, we can view the various Production Movements recorded in StoresAce, as well as their status, cost, and the warehouse where production was carried out.

## Creating a New Production Movement

 The “Add” option, located in the upper right corner of the Production submenu, redirects to the creation page, where all marked fields are mandatory **(*)**.

**Warehouse**: The warehouse where the production movement is recorded and where the stock of both the production item and its components/ingredients will be adjusted.

**Date**: Specifies the date when production is carried out.

**Justification**: An optional field that allows a justification to be assigned to the movement according to the pre-configured reasons.

**Movement Type**: Describes the movement type as a production.

**Document**: Describes the document type according to the stock document types previously created.

## Adding Items to a Production Movement

Once the production movement has been created with its basic settings, it is now possible to add items/ingredients to both presented lists.

**Add**: Field that allows to add items one by one to the list, with the ability to define the quantities to be added.

**Search**: Tool that can be used to add multiple items to the list; these items must be edited later in their quantities within the corresponding list row.

**Search Field**: Search for items by name or code to be directly inserted into the list.

The options for adding items are available in two related lists.

The **Product List** details the production items to be produced. Adding production items here automatically fills the **Ingredients List** with the items will act as ingredients/components from their recipe in the necessary quantities for production.

### Add a Batch & Expiration Date to the Production Item

It is possible, when delivering the Items in Store, to define their Lots and Expiration Dates, regardless of whether there is an obligation for this in the definitions of the item in question.

In the edit window of the Item line, in the "Batch" tab:

**Batch:** allows inserting the batches of items.

**Expiration Date: **allows you to enter the expiration date. This date can then be used in label printing or integrated into the Quality Control module for checking labels and expiry dates.

### Ingredients

In the **Ingredients List**, we can view the items required for production according to the sales item's recipe and adjust the quantities used in this specific production movement if they differ from the predefined amounts in the recipe.

This editing can be done in the detail window of each item or through inline editing.

It is also possible to add items to the production movement that are required for production but are not included in the recipe. Through the "Add" option, it is possible to identify the item to be added and the production item for which it was needed, in the "Product" field.

Selecting items using the side options in the list also allows for the removal of items from the production movement.

### **Actions in the Side Toolbar**

When items are added to the production movement, the side toolbar provides a set of additional tools to assist with the task.


## **Closing a Production Movement**

After the production movement has been created and saved for processing, a set of options with distinct actions will appear in the upper right corner.

**Save**: Allows users to save the progress of the production movement.

**Close**: Allows users to close the production movement.

Once closed, the production movement will adjust the stock levels of the items involved, affecting the stock withdrawal of the ingredients used for production and the stock entry of the produced items in the warehouse where it was recorded.

After closing a production movement, the "Reopen" option will appear in the upper right corner if the user has the necessary permissions, allowing the movement to be reopened if an update is needed.

### **Production Movement States**

The documents related to productions are, in all stages of preparation and processing, associated with a state that determines the phase of the process they are in.

These states give specific properties to the way production is handled, making certain actions possible or not.

**Draft**: The first stage of production after creation; the document is saved but without any system binding; it can be edited at any time by the operator and saved.

**Open**: Production that has been saved and numbered, and is already bound to the system, being in processing; it can be edited at any time by the user and can be closed.

**Closed**: Production in its final editing stage, bound to the system, with an impact on the stock levels of the items included; it can be reopened by users with the necessary permissions if any corrections are needed.
